Most Chinese universities give priority to international students for on-campus dormitory places, with single and shared rooms allocated per semester. Off-campus renting is possible where the university permits it.

Scholarship
Osaka University offers JASSO and OU scholarships of 80,000 JPY per month for eligible students, typically awarded for four to five months, or ten to eleven months, depending on the program. Scholarships are available for non-Japanese citizens with a student ('Ryugaku') visa, and applications made during the exchange period are not accepted.
