Accommodation
Most Chinese universities give priority to international students for on-campus dormitory places, with single and shared rooms allocated per semester. Off-campus renting is possible where the university permits it.
Your counsellor requests the current dormitory options, room types and deposit rules in writing from the international students office before you accept an offer.
Facilities
Campus facilities typically include libraries, laboratories, sports centres, canteens with halal and international options, medical clinics and dedicated international student services.
Scholarship
The Confucius Institute Scholarship provides full coverage on tuition fee, accommodation fee, living allowance (four-week study students are excluded) and comprehensive medical insurance expenses. Tuition covers teaching and management of scholarship students, but not textbook expenses and tourist tickets. Accommodation fee includes on-campus apartments with allowance for off-campus living. Living allowance varies by program: 2,500 CNY for undergraduates, 3,000 CNY for MTCSOL students, and 3,500 CNY for DTCSOL students.
